The College:
Mount Marty College is a private, Catholic, Benedictine, coeducational liberal arts college, founded in 1936 by the Sisters of Saint Benedict, serving students of all faiths. By keeping with tradition, the college exists as a community of learners. Primary emphasis is placed on the development of each person as a complete human being with intellectual competence, professional and personal skills, and a composite of moral, spiritual, and social values. Today Mount Marty College remains a place where students can explore their beliefs and share their faith.

Mount Marty College is on the leading edge of teaching and learning as defined by student achievement and our excellent placement rates. Classes are taught by professors, not graduate assistance. Primary emphasis is development of the whole person with intellectual competence, professional and social skills, moral and spiritual values. MMC offers 25 Bachelor undergraduate programs, 10 pre-professional programs, and 2 graduate programs. Mount Marty is a beautifully maintained campus of 80 acres. MMC, Yankton, is a residential campus with two residential residence halls. Mount Marty has three campuses that include Yankton, Watertown, and Sioux Falls. The new Scholastica Learning Center on the Yankton campus is the home for the library, technology center, academic achievement center, and Cyber Cafe.
