The
College:
Ionas 37-acre campus, located less than
20 miles from the excitement of Manhattan, provides a supportive, traditional learning environment combined with the latest technological
resources and state-of-the-art facilities. Our new 358-bed residence halls open this fall, allowing more of our students to have a complete
college experience. The new residence halls follow the construction of the Iona College Arts Center, the renovation of our science
building, Cornelia Hall, and of our Campus Events Center gymnasium. Were also pleased to welcome students to our new Rockland county
facility, Iona College at Blue Hill, which is open to graduate, undergraduate, and returning adult students this fall. The more than 11,000
square foot space at the Blue Hill office complex offers an increased number of courses and degrees in addition to a variety of amenities
for students, such as day care, a post office, ATM, and much more.
Iona College was founded in 1940 by the Congregation of Christian Brothers
and today, continues to serve as a private, co-educational institution of learning that is based in the tradition of American Catholic higher
education. Iona is a place for the whole student, working to provide an education that supports the unique needs of every student. Iona offers
a variety of baccalaureate degrees in liberal arts and humanities, science, and business and the professions covering a range of undergraduate
majors and graduate degrees in the School of Arts and Science and the Hagan School of Business. Ionas accreditation was recently reaffirmed
by the Middle States Association and many of our departments, including Mass Communication and Social Work, have successfully completed the
accreditation process.
