Metropolitan State University is a comprehensive urban university committed to meeting the higher education needs of the

Metropolitan State has always been distinctive because of our focus on expanding access to high-quality graduate and undergraduate academic
programs (now numbering over 60). We can also work with students to develop individualized degree programs to meet specific educational and
career goals. Courses are conveniently scheduled at our main campuses on the East Side of Saint Paul and in downtown Minneapolis. Additionally,
our Midway site houses the School of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice and offers many other courses. Metropolitan State University is
proud to be Minnesota's state university for the entire Twin Cities metropolitan area. We serve nearly 9,000 students a year in rigorous and
rewarding academic programs. Class sizes average 20 students. Close to 90 percent of our students work either full or part-time. Students
range in age from 16 to 77, with an average of 33.
