The College:
Greenville College is a four-year, coeducational Christian liberal arts college located in Greenville, Illinois. Founded
in 1892, it is affiliated with the Free Methodist Church. Greenville College transforms students for lives of character and service through
a Christ-centered education in the liberating arts and sciences. The campus is located in the community of Greenville, Illinois, a town of
6,500 people just 45 miles east of St. Louis. Housing includes five major residence halls and 12 upper division houses. A new 12-unit apartment
complex houses 60 upper division students. Fifteen major buildings are located on 50 acres.
Each year at least 500 courses are offered; the minimum required for graduation is at least thirty-three courses. The general education core
offered by Greenville College is guided by a strengths-based approach assisting students in choosing majors, identifying extracurricular activities
and developing a lifelong process of education. The core program includes foundations in the liberal arts , an introduction to Christian thought
and life, a foundation of science, and a capstone seminar with an integration across the disciplines. The general education program also includes
courses in fine arts, humanities, religion, science, mathematics, and social sciences.
