The College:
At Prescott College every student works in collaboration with faculty to individualize and self-direct their studies. We
offer small classes where faculty truly care about students and are available outside of the classroom. In fact, most of our education takes
place outside of the classroom because Prescott College is heavily field and experientially based. Our students learn by doing, not by passively
sitting in a classroom. The environment, ecology, science, and the arts come together in our four areas of study: Adventure Education, Environmental
Studies, Arts & Letters and Integrative Studies. No other college offers such a diverse, multidisciplinary, liberal arts curriculum as
Prescott College. You won't find a better way to integrate your needs, interests, and career goals.
Prescott College is a small, private, liberal arts college with a strong emphasis on ecological literacy and experiential education. Founded
in 1966, Prescott College serves the needs of approximately 1,000 students in three programs of study. Students can live and study for an
undergraduate degree in Prescott (Resident Degree Program), complete their undergraduate degree through our degree completion distance program
(Adult Degree Program), or earn their master's degree through our distance graduate program (Master of Arts Program). Students can also pursue
a Teaching Certificate through any program. Whatever program is right for them, students will find that Prescott College is a supportive and
flexible environment where students are empowered to design their own education.
